Readers index the books they own, a recipe at a time: the title, the page, the times, the ingredients. That index is shared, so the next person who owns the same book finds it already searchable. The method stays where it belongs — in the book, in your hands, on the counter.
Alongside it sits a cooking journal that is yours alone. Every cook, with the date, a note and a photograph if you took one. It lives in your own iCloud, and nobody else can read it.
